Schizophrenia: A Timeline

- The history of schizophrenia. Societal perceptions and norms around ‘madness’ have shifted towards an overall positive (and more respectful) attitude since the 17th century when people with mental illnesses were treated as if prisoners in jail-like environments. However, there is still so much stigma that exists.
