Schizophrenia Sketches

- The history of schizophrenia. Societal perceptions and norms around ‘madness’ have shifted towards an overall positive (and more respectful) attitude since the 17th century when people with mental illnesses were treated as if prisoners in jail-like environments. However, there is still so much stigma that exists.

TUG: Ray Light
Inspired by sun rays, Ray is a café installation, curated by MADE. This cloud-like lighting structure was woven using upcycled vinyl strips.

TUG: Planters + Cushions
A series of cushions and planters sewn and woven using old vinyl signs and donated fabric scraps. These hand crafted products were exhibited at a show called 'Public Displays of Affection' and then donated to be used at an affordable housing complex in Toronto.
